Final Preparations by Deborah Flores

Ten days and counting, before we leave the comfort zone of Philadelphia and enter another country where the food, language and currency are different. Excitement and anxiety are in the air as the participants meet one last time to take care of the last minute details. We have ten days left to prepare for the ten days we will actually be in Italy. Who will pack the Pepto Bismol? Will the pastor really take his golf clubs? The pastor may take his golf clubs but he is also taking a message of peace as he prepares to speak to pastors about the message of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The girls are preparing skits, monologues, and music. The women are studying and preparing to speak on the role of Christian Women in Modern society. Most of all we are ready to look for ministry moments to be a blessing. We are ready to be challenged and stretched in new ways. The overall message is clear: God has prepared the way and we are getting ready to go.

We are praying that God will begin to prepare the hearts of those who will hear your message and we are believing for life changing results.

I pray that God will Bless this missison many times over as this is an awesome experience. I am encouraged by your work that God is truly in our mist. I pray that your mission is a productive and longlasting one. One that will have effects both in Italy and here at Second Baptist. I pray and hope this is only many to come.
I pray that on your return that you can share your experience and perhaps ignite a flame of mission in our children to share their love of Christ here in our communities. God Bless you all.
